Wallet Connection Steps

MetaMask

  1. Install MetaMask browser extension
  2. Create new wallet or import existing
  3. Add Celo Alfajores network (use button above or manual config)
  4. Switch to Alfajores network
  5. Get testnet CELO from faucet

Rabby Wallet

  1. Install Rabby browser extension
  2. Create or import wallet
  3. Rabby auto-detects Celo networks
  4. Select Celo Alfajores from network list
  5. Fund with testnet CELO

Coinbase Wallet

  1. Install Coinbase Wallet extension or mobile app
  2. Create new wallet or import
  3. Add custom network with Alfajores config
  4. Switch to testnet
  5. Obtain test tokens

Gas & Transaction Fees

Celo uses standard blockchain gas mechanics. All transactions require CELO for gas fees.

Typical Gas Costs (Alfajores)

  • • Simple transfer: ~21,000 gas
  • • Token transfer: ~50,000 gas
  • • Contract interaction: varies

Gas Price

  • • Testnet: Very low/free
  • • Mainnet: Market-determined
  • • Auto-estimation available

Example Transaction

Test Transfer

  1. Ensure you have testnet CELO in your wallet
  2. Copy your wallet address
  3. Send a small amount (0.01 CELO) to yourself
  4. Confirm transaction in wallet
  5. Check transaction on Alfajores block explorer
  6. Verify balance update
